Make It Happen

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 325°F. While it is heating, roll 1 1/2 cubes of cookie dough into a ball. Repeat until you have 12 cookies in total. Place them on a greased baking sheet.

Step 2

Bake for about 14 minutes, or until the cookies are golden brown around the edges. Remove them from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter until smooth and creamy. Then, add the vanilla extract and salt. Mix until fully incorporated.

Step 4

Gradually add the powdered sugar one cup at a time, beating well after each addition. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed. Finally, pour in the heavy cream and continue beating until the frosting is light, fluffy, and easy to spread.

Step 5

Once the cookies have cooled, generously frost each cookie with buttercream frosting. Make sure to create a rough finish to the frosting, so it looks like piles of snow on the bottom of your snow globe.

Step 6

Now, it’s time to get creative! Decorate the top of each cookie with mini trees, snowflakes, snowmen, or any other winter-themed decorations. Arrange them to create a mini winter wonderland scene.

Step 7

Once your decorations are in place, carefully top each cookie with half of a clear plastic ornament to complete the snow globe look.

Step 8

Refrigerate the cookies for 20-30 minutes to let the frosting set. Once firm, they can be enjoyed at all your holiday celebrations or given as a thoughtful gift during your next cookie exchange.
