Snow Cone Cookie Balls

Nothing says summer quite like a snow cone—and now, you can bring that same colorful, nostalgic treat to your dessert table with these Snow Cone Cookie Balls. With their soft cookie centers, creamy frosting, and signature red, white, and blue sparkle, these frosty-looking cookie balls are the perfect no-melt alternative to the classic summer favorite. Made with Wooden Spoon® Macadamia Nut Cookie Dough and a hint of cherry flavor, each one is nestled in a mini snow cone cup for a fun, festive presentation that’s sure to steal the show.

Ingredients

Cookie Balls:

  • 24 cubes of Wooden Spoon® Macadamia Nut Cookie Dough
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened

Frosting:

  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 4 c. confectioners’ sugar
  • 4 tsp. milk
  • Red and blue food coloring
  • Red, white, and blue sugar crystals
  • Optional: a few drops of cherry oil for extra flavor!

Make It Happen

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 325°F. Place cookie dough cubes 2” apart on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 14 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

Step 2

Once cooled, crumble the cookies in a food processor until they resemble fine crumbs. Mix cookie crumbs and softened cream cheese in a large bowl until fully combined.

Step 3

Roll into 1-2” balls. Chill the balls in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. After the balls have chilled, place them into small paper snow cone cups.

Step 4

For the frosting, beat the butter and vanilla together until smooth. Slowly, add sugar then milk and beat until fluffy. Divide into 3 bowls. Color one bowl red, one blue, and leave the last one white.
