Make It Happen

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 325°F. Break and place the cookie dough cubes 2” apart on a greased baking sheet. Bake for about 14 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet and transfer to cooling racks. Let cool completely.

Step 2

Crumble the cooled cookies in a food processor until they resemble fine crumbs.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese with the cookie crumbs until well combined. Form the mixture into 20, 1-inch balls. Place the cookie balls onto a baking sheet lined with wax paper and refrigerate for 20 minutes.

Step 4

Melt the orange candy coating wafers in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring in between each interval until completely melted. Dip each cookie ball into the coating, ensuring it’s evenly covered, and place it back on the baking sheet.

Step 5

Quickly insert a pretzel piece into the top of each ball to create the “pumpkin stem”. Before the coating sets, sprinkle lightly with the orange sugar.

Step 6

Finally, use black decorating gel to draw the Jack O’ Lantern faces on each ball. You can also use green decorating gel to add on some green vines for an extra festive touch.

Step 7

Once decorated, refrigerated for one hour before sharing your adorably delicious Jack O’ Lantern Cookie Balls at all your events this spooky season.
