Make It Happen

Step 1

Let the cookie dough thaw slightly, just enough to be pliable. Roll each piece into a ball. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for 15-20 minutes, or until firm.

Step 2

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, mix together the milk and egg. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until smooth and lump free.

Step 3

In a deep pot or fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F. Working in small batches, dip each frozen cookie dough ball into the batter. Coat evenly then carefully place into the hot oil. Fry for 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove the cookie dough balls from the oil with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate.

Step 4

Air fryer option:

Instead of heating hot oil in a fryer or a pan, you can use an air fryer. For this cooking method, follow steps 1-2 above. Then, after coating the cookie dough balls in batter, place them back on a parchment-lined tray. Freeze for 20-30 minutes. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F. Lightly spray the basket and dough balls with cooking spray. Fry for 6-8 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.

Step 5

Serve warm with a dusting of powdered sugar, drizzle of chocolate or caramel, or alongside a scoop of your favorite ice cream!

Storage Information

Store your Deep-Fried Snickerdoodle Cookie Dough Bites in an airtight container in the refrigerated for up to 3 days. When you’re ready to serve, reheat them in the oven at 350°F for about 5-7 minutes. Do not microwave as that can make the exterior of the cookie dough balls soggy.
